How it works
FlightScout monitors flight prices on the routes you care about and alerts you when prices drop significantly — so you never miss a cheap flight.
A watch pair is a route you want to track (e.g., LAX to Tokyo). You set your origin, destination, travel dates, and preferences like round trip or nonstop. FlightScout continuously checks prices and notifies you when it finds a deal.
A deal is a flight whose price has dropped significantly compared to what it cost recently. You'll see the exact dollar amount and percentage drop on each deal card.
Search & dates
Instead of picking exact dates, you specify a travel window (e.g., anytime in June) and a trip duration (e.g., 5 nights). FlightScout searches across multiple departure dates within your window to find the cheapest combination.
Alerts & notifications
When FlightScout detects a price drop that meets your alert threshold, it sends you a push notification. You can customize the alert threshold per route in Settings.
Make sure notifications are enabled in the app's Settings and in iOS Settings > FlightScout > Notifications. Deal alerts require an active Pro subscription.
Booking
FlightScout does not handle bookings directly. When you find a deal you like, tap it to open the flight details and use the deep link to complete your booking on the airline or travel site.
Troubleshooting
This means no significant price drops have been detected on your routes recently. Keep your watch pairs active — you'll be notified as soon as a price drops.
Your watch pairs and preferences are stored securely. Flight data is not tied to your identity. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
